Todd Bruckner, D.D.S
I was going to write one of those generic doctor/dentist bio’s, but I figured this would be better. All me, hand written (or typed), from the heart.
I graduated from the University of Maryland Honors College in 2019 with a B.S. in Kinesiology. For those that don’t know, that’s the study of movement and exercise. It was a blast, and I learned more about how the entire body works way more than any dentist probably should.
After that, I graduated from Touro College of Dental Medicine in 2024. A relatively new school, everything was cutting edge and the faculty were amazing. The best part, there were no specialty programs. What that means, for better or for worse, is that we got to do everything, and few people nowadays get out of dental school doing more than we did.
Finally, I went to New York Presbyterian Queens for my residency. I thought I would spend the year doing some crowns and fillings, but man was I wrong. Broken jaws and massive infections were the name of the game. I felt more like an emergency room doc rather than a dentist most of the time. But after doing some of the procedures I had the privilege to do there, with the amazing attendings teaching the entire way, I learned more than I ever could have hoped.
Now here I am. A 3rd generation dentist, working with Pops. I consider myself extremely lucky, not just for this opportunity, but for all the amazing teachers and experiences I’ve had along the way. We may live in a world driven by corporate bureaucracy and AI-mania, but that’s not us. We’ll use the latest and greatest technology when it makes sense, but a person’s got to answer the phone when you call, am I right? There’s something about dentistry that allows you to connect with another person, which is one of the reasons I love it. I mean seriously, I get to treat the grandchildren of people my grandfather treated over 60 years ago. Can’t make that stuff up.
So whether it’s been a while since your last cleaning or you want to completely redo your smile, swing by. Nothing is too big or too small, and we’ll be there with you every step of the way.
P.S. – I’m going to have a little blog on the site. As to what it’s about, that’s TBD. But if you have any questions or ideas, email me at brucknertodd@gmail.com
